Hope you’re currently in good health.
I had a 100% rupture of my left Quad tendon on 08 December last, whilst walking down some steps! I’m now 7 weeks out from surgery and it appears to be going well-90 degrees of ROM already.
Although I have to admit that I initially thought my rehab schedule, that the surgeon suggested I follow, was brutally aggressive. Nothing prepares you for the pain this injury puts you through!!
I was so pleased to come across your book and website and also the useful links to others and their stories. There’s not a lot of information out there as it seems to be such a rare injury. Wow, it’s happened to you twice!!
Your info has given me a lot of confidence going forward and it’s fantastic that you’re able to fully participate in the pastimes you enjoy. I’m an endurance hiker, living in the UK, so this is a devastating injury for me. I can’t wait to get back to somewhere near 100% again and get out on this hills and mountains. I realise there’s a lot of patience involved in recovery and it’s extremely frustrating not being able to do the stuff you love for a good while.
Anyway, best wishes for the future and stay healthy man.
Keith
